Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 1.5 cups Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cups Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cups Vegetable oil
  • 2 medium Yellow onions
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar

Directions

Step 1

Season the pork chops on both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, then set aside.

Step 2

In a shallow dish, place the flour. In a second shallow dish, beat the eggs with milk until combined. In a third shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

Step 3

Dredge each pork chop in the flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into the egg mixture to coat, then press into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even layer. Place the breaded chops on a plate.

Step 4

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the breaded pork chops in batches, cooking each side for 4–5 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Remove the chops from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Step 5

Slice the yellow onions into thin rings. In a clean skillet, melt the butter over low-medium heat. Add the onions and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 6

Sprinkle the sugar over the onions and continue cooking for an additional 10–15 minutes, stirring frequently, until the onions are caramelized and golden brown.

Step 7

Serve the breaded pork chops warm, topped with caramelized onions. Enjoy!
