Ingredients

  • 2 cups Brazil nuts
  • 8 pieces Medjool dates (pitted)
  • 10 pieces Dried figs
  • 1 cup Shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut oil (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons Raw cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 pinch Pinch of sea salt

Directions

Step 1

Prepare the ingredients by soaking the dried figs in warm water for 10–15 minutes to make them soft and pliable. Drain and pat them dry before use.

Step 2

In a food processor, pulse the Brazil nuts until they are finely ground, but be careful not to over-process into a paste.

Step 3

Add the pitted Medjool dates, softened figs, shredded coconut, melted coconut oil, raw cacao powder, vanilla extract, and sea salt to the food processor.

Step 4

Blend the mixture until it forms a sticky, cohesive dough. If needed for sweetness, add the optional maple syrup and blend again.

Step 5

Line an 8-inch springform or tart pan with parchment paper to ensure easy removal.

Step 6

Press the mixture evenly into the pan, using your hands or the back of a spoon to flatten and smooth the surface.

Step 7

Place the torte in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set, or in the freezer for 30 minutes if you’re short on time.

Step 8

Remove from the pan carefully and transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with a sprinkle of shredded coconut or cacao powder if desired.

Step 9

Slice and serve chilled. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
