Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 5.2 oz Boursin cheese (Garlic & Fine Herbs flavor)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 4 pieces Burger buns
  • 2 tbsp Butter (optional, for toasting buns)
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 4 pieces Tomato slices
  • 4 pieces Red onion slices
  • 4 slices Pickles (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until evenly seasoned, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 2

Divide the ground beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4-inch thick. Use your thumb to create a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly without puffing up.

Step 3

Preheat a grill, grill pan, or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the cooking surface to prevent sticking.

Step 4

Cook the burger patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness (an internal temperature of 160°F for medium). During the last minute of cooking, add a generous dollop of Boursin cheese on top of each patty and allow it to soften and melt slightly.

Step 5

If desired, toast the burger buns by spreading butter on the cut sides and placing them on the grill or skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Step 6

Assemble the burgers by spreading a thin layer of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the mayo, followed by a burger patty with melted Boursin cheese.

Step 7

Top the patties with a slice of tomato, a slice of red onion, and a pickle slice (if using). Add the top half of the bun to complete the burger.

Step 8

Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes such as fries or a fresh salad.
