Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 4 pieces pineapple rings
  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • 4 pieces lettuce leaves
  • 8 pieces red onion slices
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp coconut cream
  • 2 tbsp oil for grilling

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix gently until just combined, taking care not to overwork the meat.

Step 2

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a burger patty about 1.5 cm thick. Use your thumb to make a small indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Step 3

Preheat a grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly grease the grill with 1 tablespoon of oil to prevent sticking.

Step 4

Grill the burger patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For medium, the internal temperature should be 160°F (70°C). Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.

Step 5

While the burgers are cooking, lightly brush the pineapple rings with the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil and grill them for 1-2 minutes per side until caramelized and golden.

Step 6

To prepare the coconut-lime sauce, mix the mayonnaise, lime juice, and coconut cream in a small bowl. Stir until smooth and well combined.

Step 7

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1 minute, cut-side down, until golden brown.

Step 8

Assemble the burgers: Spread a layer of the coconut-lime sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Add a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked burger patty, a grilled pineapple ring, and two slices of red onion. Finish with another dollop of the coconut-lime sauce and top with the other half of the bun.

Step 9

Serve the Bounty Burgers immediately with your favorite side dishes, such as sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.
