Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Boneless country-style pork ribs
  • 0.5 cup Hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Fresh ginger, grated
  • 0.25 tsp Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 Scallions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Step 2

Pat the boneless country-style pork ribs with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Step 3

In a medium bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.

Step 4

Arrange the ribs in a single layer in a large baking dish or roasting pan.

Step 5

Pour the prepared hoisin sauce mixture evenly over the ribs, turning the ribs to ensure they are well-coated in the sauce.

Step 6

Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil to seal in moisture.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 2 1/2 hours, or until the ribs are tender when pierced with a fork.

Step 8

Remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C). Brush the ribs with the sauce in the pan and return to the oven for an additional 20-30 minutes, basting with sauce halfway through, until the ribs are caramelized and the sauce is thickened.

Step 9

Transfer the ribs to a serving platter and garnish with sliced scallions and sesame seeds.

Step 10

Serve hot with steamed rice, sautéed vegetables, or a side of your choice. Enjoy!
