Ingredients

  • 3 medium, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced Apples
  • 3 medium, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced Pears
  • 1 cup Fresh cranberries
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Old-fashioned oats
  • 0.5 cup, packed Brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour (for topping)
  • 0.5 cup, cold and diced Unsalted butter
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set it aside.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, sliced pears, and cranberries. Add the granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and 1/4 cup of flour. Toss everything together until the fruit is evenly coated.

Step 3

Spread the fruit mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

Step 4

In a separate medium bowl, prepare the crumble topping. Mix together the oats, brown sugar, 1/2 cup of flour, and salt. Add the diced cold butter to the mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the dry ingredients until it forms a coarse, crumbly texture.

Step 5

Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the fruit mixture in the baking dish.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.

Step 7

Allow the crisp to cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
