Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground turkey
  • 0.5 cup Fresh blueberries
  • 0.25 cup Red onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 Burger buns
  • 4 Lettuce leaves
  • 4 Tomato slices
  • 4 tbsp Mayonnaise

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, fresh blueberries, finely chopped red onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2

Gently mix the ingredients together using your hands or a wooden spoon until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this could make the burgers dense.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 4

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Add the olive oil to the skillet if cooking on the stovetop.

Step 5

Place the burger patties on the skillet or grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) as measured by a meat thermometer.

Step 6

While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster for extra texture and flavor.

Step 7

Assemble the burgers by spreading 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Add a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and a turkey burger patty. Top with the other half of the bun.

Step 8

Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes, such as sweet potato fries or a mixed green salad.
