Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef
  • 0.5 pounds Ground pork
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cups Whole milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 0.75 cups Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, and breadcrumbs.

Step 3

In a small bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the meat mixture.

Step 4

Using your hands or a large spoon, mix everything together until just combined. Do not overmix as this can make the meatloaf tough.

Step 5

Shape the meat mixture into a loaf shape and place it on the prepared baking sheet (or press it into the loaf pan if using).

Step 6

In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar to make the glaze.

Step 7

Spread half of the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 8

Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove it from the oven, spread the remaining glaze over the top, and return it to the oven.

Step 9

Continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C) on a meat thermometer.

Step 10

Remove the meatloaf from the oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
