Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Puff pastry sheet
  • 100 grams Blue cheese
  • 50 grams Cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh chives
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Finely chop the parsley, chives, and garlic, then set them aside.

Step 3

In a medium bowl, mix the blue cheese and cream cheese until smooth.

Step 4

Stir in the parsley, chives, garlic, salt, and black pepper into the cheese mixture until well combined.

Step 5

Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle approximately 10x12 inches.

Step 6

Cut the puff pastry into 12 equal squares.

Step 7

Place a teaspoon of the blue cheese mixture into the center of each square.

Step 8

Fold each square into a triangle, pressing the edges firmly to seal. You can use a fork to crimp the edges for extra security and decoration.

Step 9

In a small bowl, beat the egg with the tablespoon of water to make an egg wash.

Step 10

Brush the egg wash over the tops of the pastry triangles for a golden finish.

Step 11

Transfer the pastries to the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.

Step 12

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.

Step 13

Remove from the oven and let the bites cool slightly before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
