Ingredients

  • 4 pieces White fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 8 pieces Bacon strips
  • 4 leaves Leaf lettuce
  • 2 medium Tomatoes
  • 4 pieces Hamburger buns
  • 0.5 cup Tartar sauce

Directions

Step 1

In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Set aside.

Step 2

In a second shallow dish, whisk the eggs until beaten. In a third shallow dish, place the panko breadcrumbs.

Step 3

Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Dredge each fillet in the flour mixture, shaking off excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, then coat with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

Step 4

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded fish fillets. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked through. Remove and set on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Step 5

Meanwhile, cook the bacon strips in a separate skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

Step 6

Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds and set aside. Rinse and pat the lettuce leaves dry.

Step 7

Toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or on a dry skillet until lightly golden.

Step 8

To assemble each sandwich, spread a generous layer of tartar sauce on the bottom half of a toasted bun. Layer with a lettuce leaf, tomato slices, a crispy fish fillet, and two strips of bacon. Top with the upper half of the bun.

Step 9

Serve immediately and enjoy your BLT Fish Sandwiches!
