Ingredients

  • 6 slices White sandwich bread
  • 6 slices Bacon
  • 3 leaves Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1 large Tomato
  • 4 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat.

Step 2

Cook the bacon slices in the skillet until they are crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Flip occasionally for even cooking. Once done, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

Step 3

While the bacon cooks, wash and dry the lettuce leaves and slice the tomato into thin, even slices. Set these aside.

Step 4

Toast the slices of bread until golden brown. You can use a toaster, toaster oven, or skillet.

Step 5

Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise (approximately 1 tablespoon per slice) on one side of each piece of toast.

Step 6

On the first slice of bread (mayonnaise side up), layer 2 lettuce leaves and a few tomato slices. Lightly sprinkle with salt and black pepper.

Step 7

Place the second slice of bread on top (mayonnaise side up), and add 3 slices of cooked bacon and an additional lettuce leaf.

Step 8

Finish by placing the third slice of bread on top, mayonnaise side down. Gently press the sandwich together.

Step 9

Secure the sandwich by inserting 4 toothpicks, one near each corner. Use a sharp knife to cut the sandwich into quarters, forming triangle-shaped portions.

Step 10

Serve immediately, optionally paired with chips, pickles, or a simple side salad.
