Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Black tea bags
  • 4 cups Water
  • 0.25 cups Black currant syrup
  • 1 large Fresh mango
  • 2 tablespoons Honey (optional)
  • 2 cups Ice cubes
  • 8 leaves Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
  • 4 slices Lemon slices (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Boil the water in a medium-sized pot. Once it reaches a boil, remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 4 minutes, or longer for a stronger flavor.

Step 2

While the tea is steeping, peel the fresh mango and cut it into small chunks. Blend the mango chunks in a blender until smooth to create a mango puree. Set aside.

Step 3

Remove the tea bags from the pot and allow the tea to cool for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Once cooled, pour the tea into a large pitcher. Add the black currant syrup and mango puree, stirring well to combine.

Step 5

Taste the tea and, if desired, mix in the honey for added sweetness.

Step 6

To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the black currant mango iced tea over the ice.

Step 7
