Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 medium Yellow onion (finely diced)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried parsley
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, diced yellow onion, minced garlic, 1/4 cup of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, dried parsley, and paprika.

Step 3

Use your hands or a large spoon to mix the ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meatloaf dense.

Step 4

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf shape and place it on the prepared baking sheet or pack it into the loaf pan.

Step 5

In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the remaining 1/4 cup of ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and Dijon mustard to make the glaze.

Step 6

Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the shaped meatloaf.

Step 7

Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 8

Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Step 9

Serve warm with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad. Enjoy your celebratory birthday dinner!
