  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced
  • 1 piece red chili, sliced (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fried shallots (for garnish, optional)

Directions

Step 1

Start by soaking the rice vermicelli noodles in warm water for about 5-10 minutes or until soft. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large wok or pan over medium-high heat.

Add the minced garlic and sliced shallots to the pan. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
