Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 large Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1.5 cups Breadcrumbs
  • 0.75 cups Milk
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 cups Ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Yellow mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 3 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup ketchup, mustard, salt, black pepper, and paprika.

Step 3

Using clean hands or a sturdy spoon, mix until evenly combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.

Step 4

Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared baking sheet or dish, shaping it into a loaf about 12 inches long and 6 inches wide. Alternatively, press it into the loaf pan.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup ketchup, brown sugar, and a dash of Worcestershire sauce to create the glaze.

Step 6

Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf with a spoon or brush.

Step 7

Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for 60-75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reads 160°F (71°C) on a meat thermometer.

Step 8

Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes after removing it from the oven to allow the juices to redistribute.

Step 9

Slice into thick portions and serve warm. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
