Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 pieces large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the pure vanilla extract.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 6

Fold in the dark chocolate chunks and milk chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Step 7

Using a large cookie scoop or 1/4 cup measuring cup, portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 3 inches of space between each cookie as they will spread.

Step 8

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden, but the centers still appear slightly underbaked.

Step 9

Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 10

Serve warm or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
