Ingredients

  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 0.5 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 0.75 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, add gram flour (besan), turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, and salt.

Gradually add water to the flour while whisking continuously to form a smooth and lump-free batter.

Add the finely chopped onion, green chili, grated ginger, and fresh coriander leaves into the batter. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.

Heat a non-stick pan or tawa over medium flame and add 1/2 tablespoon of oil to grease it.
