Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 0.5 lb Ground pork
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 cup Beer (lager or ale)
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined; do not overwork the mixture.

Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and set them aside on a tray or plate.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches, searing each side until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the browned meatballs and set them aside on a plate. They do not need to be fully cooked at this stage.
