Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • 4 pieces lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato
  • 1 small red onion
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently to incorporate the spices evenly through the beef.

Step 2

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal parts and shape them into patties, slightly larger than the burger buns, as they will shrink when cooked.

Step 3

In a frying pan over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until they are crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess fat.

Step 4

Using the same pan, if desired, grill the beef patties over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on the first side. Flip the patties, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Step 5

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and red onion into thin rings.

Step 6

Toast the burger buns in a toaster or on a pan for about 1 minute until slightly golden.

Step 7

To assemble the burgers, spread a layer of ketchup and mayonnaise on each side of the toasted buns.

Step 8

Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cheese-topped burger patty, a slice of crispy bacon, a tomato slice, and a few rings of red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.

Step 9

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious beef bacon and cheese burgers!
