Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 300 grams broccoli florets
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 60 ml water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine 30 ml of soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch with 60 ml of water. Stir until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. Set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned but not fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and ginger, then stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 4

Add the broccoli florets and red bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are crisp-tender.

Step 5

Return the beef to the skillet and add the sauce mixture prepared earlier. Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and the beef is cooked through.

Step 6

Add the remaining 30 ml of soy sauce, a teaspoon of sugar, and sesame oil. Toss everything to coat.

Step 7

Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately, preferably with steamed rice.
