Ingredients

  • 10 pieces Chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 0.25 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Honey

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the chicken drumsticks under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.

Step 3

Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and toss until they are well-coated with the seasoning mixture.

Step 4

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and honey. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

Step 5

Reduce the heat to low and let the BBQ sauce cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly. Set aside to cool.

Step 6

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Step 7

Place the drumsticks on the grill and cook for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking. They should have a nice char on the outside.

Step 8

Brush the drumsticks generously with the prepared BBQ sauce and cook for another 10-15 minutes, turning and basting them frequently until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 9

Remove the drumsticks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 10

Serve the drumsticks hot, with extra BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
