Ingredients

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the pearl barley under cold water until the water runs clear.

In a medium saucepan, combine the barley with 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 25-30 minutes, or until the barley is tender but still slightly chewy. Drain any excess water and allow the barley to cool.
