Ingredients

  • 2 large Bananas
  • 3 pieces Kiwi
  • 100 grams Dark chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon Coconut oil
  • 4 pieces Strawberries
  • 6 leaves Fresh mint leaves
  • 6 pieces Toothpicks

Directions

Step 1

Peel the bananas and cut them in half crosswise to create four sturdy 'trunk' pieces.

Step 2

Peel the kiwis and slice them into thin, even rounds. These will serve as the 'leaves' of the banana tree.

Step 3

Wash and hull the strawberries, then cut them into small cubes to be used as 'fruits' growing in the tree.

Step 4

Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, stirring occasionally until smooth. Stir in coconut oil to add shine and fluidity.

Step 5

Dip the tops of the banana halves into the melted chocolate to mimic the tree trunk's base roots. Allow the chocolate to set by placing the bananas on a parchment-lined tray.

Step 6

Assemble the tree by securing 3-4 kiwi slices to the top of each banana trunk using a toothpick, creating the appearance of a leafy canopy.

Step 7

Add strawberry cubes around the chocolate-dipped base to resemble fallen fruit. Garnish each tree with fresh mint leaves for extra color and fragrance.

Step 8

Serve the banana trees immediately or refrigerate them for up to 1 hour before serving for a chilled version.
