Ingredients

  • 200 grams Cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 medium Carrot, julienned
  • 100 grams Bean sprouts
  • 2 stalks Scallions, thinly sliced
  • 150 grams All-purpose flour
  • 50 grams Rice flour
  • 1 large Egg
  • 100 ml Coconut milk
  • 100 ml Water
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 500 ml Vegetable oil, for frying

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rice flour, and salt.

Step 2

Add the egg, coconut milk, and water to the flour mixture. Whisk well until the batter is smooth and lump-free.

Step 3

Fold in the garlic, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and black pepper into the batter.

Add the shredded cabbage, julienned carrot, bean sprouts, and sliced scallions to the batter. Mix until all the vegetables are well-coated with the batter.

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until it's hot but not smoking.
