Ingredients

  • 2 cups Shredded beef
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 cup Salsa
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 pieces Large flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 0 Optional toppings (sour cream, guacamole, chopped cilantro, etc.)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, mix the shredded beef with cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and salsa until well combined.

Step 3

Place one flour tortilla on a flat surface. Add about 1/3 cup of the beef mixture to the center of the tortilla, followed by a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.

Step 4

Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it tightly into a burrito shape. Place the seam side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.

Step 5

Brush the tops and sides of each chimichanga with melted butter to help them crisp up in the oven.

Step 6

Bake the chimichangas in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Step 7

Remove the chimichangas from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve them warm with optional toppings like sour cream, guacamole, or chopped cilantro.
