  • 2 sheets Puff Pastry Sheets
  • 3 medium (preferably Granny Smith) Apples
  • 0.5 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Peel, core, and dice the apples into small pieces. Place them in a medium saucepan with the brown sugar, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, lemon juice, and butter.

Cook the apple mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are softened and the liquid has thickened slightly (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the puff pastry sheets. If they're not already the right size, roll them into approximately 10x12-inch rectangles.
