In a medium-sized saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the 2 black tea bags. Let them steep for 5 minutes.
While the tea is steeping, grate 1 teaspoon of orange zest and squeeze fresh oranges to obtain 1/2 cup of orange juice.
After 5 minutes of steeping, remove and discard the tea bags. Stir in 1/2 cup of fresh orange juice, 1 teaspoon of orange zest, and 2 tablespoons of agave syrup. Mix well until combined.
Allow the tea to cool for 5-10 minutes at room temperature.
In a large pitcher, add 2 cups of ice cubes. Pour the cooled tea over the ice.
Stir well and taste. Adjust sweetness by adding more agave syrup, if needed.
Serve in glasses over additional ice cubes if desired, and garnish with orange slices and mint leaves for an extra touch of freshness.
