Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized (peeled) Fresh oranges
  • 3 medium-sized Carrots
  • 1 cup (diced) Fresh pineapple
  • 1 medium-sized Cucumber
  • 1 inch (peeled) Ginger
  • 1 whole (juiced) Lime
  • 6 fresh Mint leaves
  • 1 cup Cold water
  • 1 tablespoon Honey (optional)
  • 6 pieces Ice cubes

Directions

Step 1

Gather all the fresh produce and wash them thoroughly under cold running water. Peel the oranges, ginger, and if desired, the cucumber (though the skin adds additional nutrients).

Step 2

Cut the oranges, carrots, and cucumber into smaller chunks that will fit easily into your blender or juicer. Dice the pineapple into 1-inch cubes if not pre-diced.

Step 3

If using a juicer, feed the oranges, carrots, pineapple, cucumber, and ginger into the juicer, alternating ingredients to evenly distribute flavors. Collect the juice in a serving jug.

Step 4

If using a blender, add the oranges, carrots, pineapple, cucumber, ginger, lime juice, mint leaves, and cold water into the blender jar. Blend on high speed until smooth and well combined.

Step 5

Place a fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag over a large bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended mixture through the strainer to separate the juice from the fibrous pulp. Use a spatula or spoon to press the liquid through, extracting as much juice as possible.

Step 6

Taste the juice. If you'd like it slightly sweeter, stir in 1 tablespoon of honey until dissolved.

Step 7

Pour the juice into glasses over ice cubes. Optionally, garnish with a sprig of fresh mint or a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.

Step 8

Serve immediately, as fresh juice tastes best when enjoyed right away. Any leftovers can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake well before consuming.
