Ingredients

  • 1 large Avocado
  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices Bread
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Cook the bacon in a pan over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

Step 2

While the bacon is cooking, slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash it with a fork until smooth, and season with salt and black pepper.

Step 3

Butter one side of each bread slice. For each sandwich, place one bread slice buttered side down onto a hot skillet or griddle.

Step 4

Layer one slice of cheddar cheese onto the bread in the skillet, followed by half of the mashed avocado, two slices of cooked bacon, and another slice of cheddar cheese.

Step 5

Top the sandwich with the second slice of bread, buttered side up. Cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat until the bottom slice is golden and the cheese begins to melt.

Step 6

Carefully flip the sandwich over and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.

Step 7

Remove the sandwich from the pan, let it rest for 1 minute, then slice in half and serve warm. Repeat for the second sandwich.
